La banda finlandesa de Power, Gothic y Epic Metal formada en el año 1999,Battlelore, lanzó a finales de septiembre su nuevo álbum "The Last Alliance" con Napalm Records.
J. Vahvanen y M.Kokkola fundaron Battlelore en el año 1999. Su primer CD de promoción, Warrior's Tale, fue publicado ese mismo año.Con la publicación de Dark Fantasy, su segunda demo, el grupo llamó la atención de Napal Records. En otoño de 2001 Battlelore registró su debut Where the Shadows Lie con el productor Miitri Aaltonen.
Sus letras suelen hacer referencia a las obras literarias de J.R.R. Tolkien.
